Don Sofilkanich, Asbury Park head coach

In his first season as head coach, Sofilkanich engineered one of the great stories in the state this season, leading the Blue Bishops from a 1-9 record last season to an 11-1 record and the Central Jersey Group I championship. Asbury Park won its first state sectional title since 1984 and also won a share of the Patriot Division title.
